Simone’s Seusses

Why We Run, Walk and Dash……

“Simone was born 4 years ago with Down Syndrome. Since that time, everyone who has been blessed to know her has watched her grow into an amazing, beautiful pre-schooler who has taught us so much about life, love, patience, and determination. Simone Seuss 5K team page pic

Every week Simone attends Open Play and Literacy Tutoring at the Gigi’s Playhouse location in Chicago free of charge. She has met so many friends there, learned so much, and our family has benefited from the knowledge and experience of the families, volunteers, and staff that are associated with the Chicago Playhouse.

Due to her involvement in these programs, and her amazing potential, Simone has been able to stay on track and learn aside her typically developing peers during her first year of pre-school this year.

In an effort to help fund raise for this wonderful organization, we are inviting family and friends to join our fundraising team, Simone’s Seusses, by running, walking, or dashing with us on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates, IL! There is something for everyone: Take part in the 5K run, enjoy an epic stroll on the 1-mile fun walk, or have your children sprint in the 50 yard dash.

If you can’t make it in person on the 14th, please consider becoming one of our virtual team members by donating today. Your gift will help support thousands of families who rely on GiGi’s Playhouse’s free therapeutic and educational programs.”
