Meet Elise!

Elise A’Hearn is about to start her second year at Rush University for her doctorate degree for Occupational Therapy. Occupational Therapists help people to achieve their daily activities and leisure activities to their fullest potential. Elise’s favorite activities are spending time with friends and family, baking, and riding her bike. She grew up about an hour away from Chicago in Shorewood. Elise attended school in Indianapolis earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a certificate in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies. She led our 2-week Wellness and Community Involvement Internship at GiGi’s for her first Fieldwork experience! She is excited for this internship and to continue her journey at GiGi’s through volunteering!

What do you like to do in warm weather?

My favorite activity to do in warm weather is paddle board with my friends!

What holiday do you most enjoy?

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving! I love to help cook and spend time with my family.

If you were a cereal, what kind would you be?

If I were a cereal, I would be “LIFE” because I think everyone should have an amazing quality of life!
