Annual Report 2021

Dear friends,

I am thrilled to announce the publication of our 2021 Annual Report and share with your our big wins, highlights, and stories!

Resilience has always been at the core of GiGi’s Playhouse Chicago. We continued to demonstrate our capacity to grow and thrive amidst challenging times in 2021. Of course, everything that we accomplished could not have been possible without the creativity and drive of our staff, participants, families, friends, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and many other supporters of the Chicago Playhouse.

As we embark on new adventures in 2022, I hope to take everything that we learned in 2021 and continue to innovate and grow as a community. This past year taught us that anything is possible and that we can accomplish seemingly the impossible together. We learned to embrace the unknown and all the twists and turns that come with it. We also learned that we could only grow as far as the goals we set for ourselves.

As an occupational therapist, I often wonder how to best support communities to come together and support one another. I also wonder how we can inspire to challenge ourselves to do better every day. My journey as a member of the occupational therapy profession and GiGi’s community began at the same time in 2013. Through the years, our Chicago community taught me that resilience and innovation come from our commitment to one another and celebration of each others’ successes. I am thrilled to continue serving and advocating for our community every day. I look forward to seeing what the next year will bring.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do to make our community believe, inspire, and thrive. I look forward to seeing you soon and hope you enjoy learning more about everything we have accomplished in our 2021 Annual Report.
