National Down Syndrome Conference in Arizona!

Parker stole the spotlight at this year’s National Down Syndrome Conference in Arizona! He made tons of new friends and finally met some of his Instagram buddies in person. The four-day weekend was packed with excitement—dancing, swimming, and teen education sessions (even a college fair). One of the standout moments was meeting Nancy, Gigi, and Franco from Gigi’s Playhouse. Parker joined Gigi’s “A little Something Extra” podcast and had a blast playing Uno with Franco and Nancy. He also shared his love for GigiFit and the programs offered at Sugar Land’s Gigi’s Playhouse.

Parker’s mom had the chance to hear updates on groundbreaking medical research happening across the U.S., leaving her filled with renewed hope for kids with that “something extra.” She connected with many young adults who are thriving—running businesses, giving speeches, and landing roles on TV and in film. More than anything, the conference was an opportunity to laugh, cry, and share stories with others walking the same path. Inspired by the experience, she left excited to continue working on her passion project, “Parker’s Place.”

Next year’s conference is in Dallas, and we can’t wait to be there!
