Volunteer Spotlight: Lauren!

At GiGi’s Playhouse, we are constantly inspired by the passionate individuals who go above and beyond to support our mission. For the month of August, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on one such individual—our newest Board Member, Lauren—whose dedication and initiative have already made a lasting impact on our community.

Lauren first connected with GiGi’s Playhouse earlier this year, expressing a genuine interest in getting involved. Rather than diving in blindly, she took the time to attend several of our programs, immersing herself in the culture and values that drive our mission. This thoughtful approach spoke volumes about her character and commitment.

In March, Lauren officially joined our Board of Managers, and she’s been an incredible asset ever since—especially when it comes to supporting our fundraising efforts and special events.

August was a particularly busy month, and Lauren stepped up in countless ways:

• At the “A Block Party” fundraiser hosted by Alyssa Crosby, Lauren proudly represented GiGi’s Playhouse. She helped staff our informational table, engaging with attendees and enthusiastically spreading awareness about our mission and programs.
• For our annual GiGi’s Golf Tournament, Lauren went the extra mile by securing a donated sheet cake and volunteering throughout the entire day. From setup to wrap-up, she filled multiple roles to help ensure the event’s success.
• And if that wasn’t enough, she capped off the month by contributing to our annual Summer BBQ. Not only did she prepare and donate trays of her now-famous chicken and waffles, but she also served food and stayed to assist with cleanup—exemplifying what it means to be a hands-on, heart-in volunteer.

Lauren’s energy, generosity, and proactive spirit have truly made a difference. Her willingness to step in wherever needed—and do so with a smile—has inspired us all.
