Community in Action: Rocky Peak Church All Serve Day at GiGi’s Playhouse

There is something incredibly powerful about a community coming together to serve others.
This past Saturday, GiGi’s Playhouse Simi Valley had the privilege of being one of the recipients of Rocky Peak Church’s annual All Serve Day, and what an incredible morning it was! A dedicated group of volunteers arrived bright and early, ready to roll up their sleeves and help make our Playhouse even more welcoming for the families we serve.

From the moment they walked through the doors, the energy was contagious. Volunteers jumped right into projects all around the Playhouse — touching up paint, washing windows, organizing spaces, painting a brand-new shelving unit, and tackling all kinds of tasks that help keep our center running smoothly.
Our Playhouse is more than just a building. It’s a place where individuals with Down syndrome and their families come to learn, grow, build confidence, and celebrate every achievement — big and small. The care and effort these volunteers poured into the space helps ensure that it continues to be a warm, safe, and inspiring environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Service days like this are incredibly meaningful because they remind us that GiGi’s Playhouse is truly a community effort. It takes volunteers, partners, supporters, and advocates all working together to make our mission possible.
We are so grateful to Rocky Peak Church and their amazing volunteers for sharing their time, energy, and hearts with us. Your generosity helps us focus on what matters most: delivering life-changing programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
Because of you, our Playhouse is shining a little brighter.
Thank you for helping us keep this special place beautiful for the families who call it home.
