One of the greatest parts of GiGi’s Playhouse is that we are 99% volunteer run allowing us to provide FREE therapeutic, life-changing programming to individuals with Down syndrome.
We want to share the next steps as we come closer to opening GiGi’s Playhouse Simi Valley. We are slated to open this Winter. And as the big day approaches, our volunteer needs are growing in many areas from therapists to committee members for events, facility build out, and more. We need you and have a lot of options for you to get involved. In addition to the steps outlined below.

Join a committee! Our Board of Directors has established multiple committees and we encourage you to join one and share your talents. Meetings are held monthly based on each Chairperson’s calendar and shared on our website. Join one or more - Everyone is welcome.
- Gala Committee: Our 2nd Annual Gala is Sunday, October 22, 2023. Be part of our Gala Team that plans and stages one of our largest fundraisers of the year. Gala experience not needed. - Outreach Committee: Volunteer to reach out to our community as part of the Outreach Committee and be one of the friendly faces our families meet. Duties include dropping brochures off at local businesses and schools, mailings, tabling, data gathering and meeting people out and about at local events like street fairs. Our “Welcome Team” helps embrace new families of children with Down syndrome, assembles and delivers useful baby baskets and Welcome packets for new families. The Outreach Committee meets monthly. - GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge 2024 Committee: We’re looking for a Chairperson for our GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge 2024 – do you have what it takes? - Marketing Committee: We always have lots of marketing elements that we need help with, and GiGi’s Playhouse has a strong brand identity we thrive on. If you are quick on your feet, love details, have a grasp of pop culture, event strategy, current events, and colloquialisms don’t make you yeet your phone out the window, reach out!
