🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Laura Abbot 🌟

At GiGi’s Playhouse, we are incredibly fortunate to have volunteers who go above and beyond—and Laura is a shining example of that dedication.

Laura first joined us as a greeter for GiGiFIT on Tuesday nights. She was so committed that she came a week early for training. On her very first night, she found herself training a new greeter—and did so with grace and kindness. When it was determined that the new greeter could take on Tuesday nights, Laura immediately stepped up to assist with the GiGiFIT Adults class. Seeing another need, she graciously volunteered to assist with the teen program on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Her willingness to fill the gaps didn’t stop there. When we launched a program for 10- to 12-year-olds, Laura offered to be the lead for that night, as well as the teen night. She completed all of her training quickly and efficiently, becoming an integral part of multiple programs within a week! She is also always ready to step in when a greeter is out, ensuring smooth and welcoming experiences for everyone.

Beyond GiGiFIT, Laura assists her mother in the Leaps & Bounds program twice a month, providing invaluable support. She has also joined the Dash for Down Syndrome Committee, where she is forming a team called Hats and Hoodies—offering beautiful products as a way to raise funds through donations.

Laura is sweet, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. We are truly grateful to have her as a volunteer, making a lasting impact on our community.
