So many exciting new, purposeful programs!

Boy have we been busy at the Playhouse!  We have been working hard to bring even more exciting, purposeful, FREE programs to you and we have even more coming soon!

On Friday, June 7th, we launched our all new Music Therapy program!  What an amazing program!  Ms. Maggie came to teach us the power and importance of music through instruments, song, dance and listening!  Ms. Maggie MacArthur is a board certified Music Therapist and brings an outstanding energy and enthusiasm to the Playhouse.  She had participants of all ages on their feet and the Playhouse was filled with music and laughter.  Ms. Maggie will be teaching this class one Friday morning a month.  Please join us for our next session on Friday, July 19th from 10-11am!  You can register at this link: https://gigisplayhouse.org/rochester/event/music-therapy-ages-newborn-5yrs/

In July, we are excited to launch 2 new programs for the summer!  Our very own dedicated volunteer Ms. Haley would like you to join her and all your friends for Dancing with Ms. Haley.  You will learn new dance moves and do a demonstration at the end of the summer!  You don’t want to miss out on this!  The class will be held every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm starting on July 10th.  Registration is required and can be done at this link:  https://gigisplayhouse.org/rochester/event/dancing-with-haley-wednesday-630-730-all-ages/2019-07-10/

Also in July, our very own dedicated volunteer Mr. Josh will be leading us into a summer with lots of fun and fitness in our all new Summer Fun & Fitness program.  This will be a 6 week program that is Olympics themed!  Each week a new event will be featured!  It will be a 6 week program offered on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm.  Our first class will be launching on Tuesday, July 16th and ending on August 23rd (there will be no class on August 13).  Registration is required and can be done at this link:  https://gigisplayhouse.org/rochester/event/summer-fun-fitness-530pm-700-pm/2019-07-16/

COMING SOON!

This week we will be holding screenings for our Summer Literacy Session.  Registration is closed for the summer session.  Our literacy program has proven to be an exceptionally successful program and we are so thankful to all our volunteers that have made this program as successful as it is.  Without your dedication and energy, we would not be able to do this!  Stay tuned to our Facebook page and your e-mail inbox for information for the Fall Literacy Registration that will be out in a couple months!

In April, we were truly blessed when we received a tremendous grant from The Golisano Foundation that will allow us to launch our Speech and Language Program this fall!  We are incredibly grateful and fortunate to be able to bring this extremely important program to our Playhouse!  We are currently hiring  a Speech Pathologist to implement and run the program.  If you or someone you know is the perfect candidate, we look forward to hearing from you!  Cover letter and resume should be forwarded to rochester@gigisplayhouse.org .  Stay tuned for more information coming soon!
