A Message from Brianna!

Hello! My name is Brianna Lee, and I have been a math tutor at GiGi’s for the last two years. I am a student at St. John Fisher University and a double major in mathematics and inclusive adolescent education.

When I found out that I would be tutoring at GiGi’s two years ago I was so excited! At St John Fisher, I am a First-Generation Service Scholar, that is how I first got introduced to GiGi’s. I love tutoring here because it gives me a space to apply the things I have learned in my education classes and the importance of tailoring instruction to fit the needs of each individual student.

I have been working with Marybeth since my first day at GiGi’s and I find myself impressed with her progress every week. When I met her, we were working on route counting and number association for 1-50. Flash forward two years and we have made it to multiplication and will start division very soon!

I met my other student, Amelia this past year and I enjoy seeing her bright personality every week.

These two girls keep me on my toes, and it has been an awesome experience to work with them both. This next fall will be my last semester at GiGi’s Playhouse, and I am so sad to be saying goodbye, but I am so thankful for all of the laughs and similes, and all the things I have learned.
