Why Do We Fundraise?

As a startup GiGi’s Playhouse, every fundraiser brings us one step closer to opening our doors and serving families in our community.

We fundraise because we believe every individual with Down syndrome deserves access to life-changing educational, therapeutic, career development and social programs all completely free of charge. Before we can offer those programs in a physical Playhouse, we must build a strong foundation that will allow us to serve families for years to come.

The funds we raise today help us:

  • Secure and prepare a permanent Playhouse location.
  • Purchase furniture, equipment, technology, and program materials.
  • Cover startup and operational expenses so we can open debt-free.
  • Build sustainable funding that ensures our programs remain free for every participant.
  • Expand awareness of our mission and create a network of volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community partners who will help our Playhouse thrive.

Fundraising is about more than dollars; it’s about investing in a future where individuals with Down syndrome and their families have a place to learn, grow, achieve and belong.

Every event you attend, sponsorship you secure, donation you make, and volunteer hour you give helps transform our vision into reality. Together, we are building more than a Playhouse. We are creating a community where acceptance is celebrated, potential is recognized and every individual is empowered to achieve their greatest potential.

We aren’t just raising money to open a building. We are building a future of acceptance, opportunity, and lifelong support for families throughout our community.
