Why GiGi’s – Susi’s Story

Susi was born in Germany and raised in Columbus, Georgia. She is married to Ron, and together they have three amazing children: Christian, Jackson, and Anna. Their youngest, Anna, has Down syndrome, which has deeply influenced her passion for inclusive education and support for individuals with Down syndrome. Susi is deeply committed to ensuring that Anna can reach her full potential through inclusive education. She is equally passionate about helping other families of children with Down syndrome find the appropriate supports and resources they need. Susi holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from Jacksonville State University and has worked in the environmental sector for over 25 years. Her academic background has equipped her with a strong foundation in scientific principles, which she applies in advocating for the best educational and developmental opportunities for her daughter.
