The Grand Opening: Celebrating the Opening of GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston

This past weekend, we proudly opened the doors to GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston, and what an incredible celebration it was! The turnout far exceeded our expectations, with families, friends, community partners, and supporters coming together to witness the beginning of something truly special.
The Playhouse was filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful conversations as guests explored the space, met our dedicated team, and experienced firsthand the heart of our mission. From the ribbon-cutting to the smiling faces of our attendees, the energy was nothing short of inspiring.
Gratitude to Our Community
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this milestone possible. This includes our tireless volunteers, generous donors, passionate board members, and all those who supported us throughout this journey. Your dedication and belief in our mission brought this Playhouse to life.
We also want to thank our families and self-advocates, whose strength and determination continue to inspire everything we do.
Programs Have Officially Begun
With the grand opening behind us, our purposeful, free programs are already underway. These programs are designed to support individuals with Down syndrome at every age and stage, helping them build skills and confidence in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
We are committed to offering the best possible experiences for our participants and their families—and this is only the beginning.
