Meet Our New Startup Team Member

GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston is excited to announce that Breana Crenshaw has joined our startup team with a focus on grants. We are so excited to have her aboard!

Breana is a first-time mom to a little girl named Hunter, who happens to have Down syndrome. She became aware of Hunter’s diagnosis early in her pregnancy and knew she needed to learn all there was to know about Down syndrome and how to be the best mom she could be for her daughter. She has a master’s degree in School Counseling from Liberty University and started at a school in August 2022, but soon had her daughter in January of 2023. Within a few months of being on maternity leave, Hunter had to have open heart surgery. Breana decided to stay at home with Hunter to give her all the time she needed to recover and continue all her therapies. Breana found out about GiGi’s playhouse after attending the buddy walk in October of 2022, while pregnant and was so excited to see the opening of the playhouse in her community. She wanted to be a part of this journey not only for her daughter, but as she further advocates for other individuals with Down syndrome.
