#GenerationG the 843: 2024 GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston Volunteer of the Year Award Winner
It is with great pleasure that we present the Volunteer of the Year Award to an extraordinary individual whose dedication and passion have profoundly impacted our community. Our honoree’s journey began during a pivotal moment in her life—when she was pregnant with her daughter, Hunter. It was then that she discovered GiGi’s Playhouse and recognized the invaluable role it plays in the lives of families with children with Down syndrome.
From her first interactions with Marie and CJ, she understood that, as parents, advocating for our children is a powerful way to ensure their growth and development. Her commitment to GiGi’s Playhouse reflects her deep belief in the importance of community and connection. As a mother of a 19-month-old with Down syndrome, she has embraced GiGi’s as a sanctuary of support, learning, and friendship.
Through her involvement, she has not only helped foster a nurturing environment but has also inspired others to get engaged. Whether through her grant writing, event support, marketing, fundraising, or program development, her efforts exemplify how each contribution helps GiGi’s Playhouse thrive.
Please join me in celebrating Breana Crenshaw—a beacon of hope and a champion for our community. Her steadfast commitment is a testament to the incredible impact one person can make. Congratulations on being named GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston’s 2024 Volunteer of the Year!
