A Place for Friendship, Fun, and Growth

Our Fantastic Friends program at GiGi’s Playhouse Charleston is designed for adults with Down syndrome and other disabilities to connect, have fun, and build social skills in a supportive, welcoming environment.

Held every other Friday from 6–8 PM, Fantastic Friends is quickly becoming one of our most joyful and engaging programs—and we have the smiles to prove it!

Incredible Growth in Just Two Weeks

We’re thrilled to share that participation has nearly doubled from Week 1 to Week 2! The energy is amazing, and the connections being made are even more meaningful. From team games to snack chats, every Friday is packed with opportunities to build confidence and friendships.

Best of All Spotlight: Meet Colton!

One of the most powerful moments from our recent session came from Colton, who truly embodied the spirit of Best of All.

Continual, measurable, celebrated—and it never ends. It’s a daily challenge to do a little better than the day before, and it’s always celebrated. Whether it’s standing one second longer, reading one more word, or offering one more kind gesture—it’s never a competition and never completed.

Colton showed amazing leadership during a group game by giving thoughtful and encouraging clues to help others. His energy and kindness stood out, making the whole group feel more connected.

Our program co-lead Heather shared,
