Introducing the National #GenerationG Youth Board: Building a Movement for a Better Future

The National #GenG Youth Board is not just a board—it’s a movement powered by the voices of future generations dedicated to creating meaningful change. Rooted in the values of the #GenG movement, the board represents collaboration, innovation, and compassion at its core. But you might be asking, “What exactly is a Youth Board? And what makes the National #GenG Youth Board so impactful?” Let’s break it down together.

What is a Youth Board?

A Youth Board (YB) is a team of passionate and inspired students—whether in middle school, high school, or college—united by their commitment to spreading awareness about individuals with Down syndrome. These students embrace the values of the #GenerationG pledge: Be Accepting, Be Generous, Be Kind.

The mission of a Youth Board is to amplify this message within their schools and communities. Through volunteering, hosting events, and raising awareness for GiGi’s Playhouse, YB members create opportunities for others to join the movement and take the #GenG pledge.

What is the National #GenG Youth Board?

The National #GenG Youth Board takes this vision to the next level. Imagine the board as a unified force that connects local Youth Boards from across the country. It’s where strategy meets passion, helping boards work more cohesively through initiatives like national challenges and events, where Youth Boards compete to achieve shared goals.

The National #GenG Youth Board also extends its impact by guiding Playhouses without Youth Boards, offering resources and mentorship to help them establish their own. By fostering collaboration on a national scale, the board ensures that every effort contributes to a larger movement of inclusion and acceptance.

This is more than a board—it’s a bold step toward a brighter, more inclusive future. Join us in building a world that celebrates the potential of every individual. Together, we’re shaping a movement that will inspire generations to come!
