At GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Wausau, we are continuously striving to be the best version of ourselves\u2014for our families, our participants, our volunteers, and our community. One of the most visible signs of this commitment is our Standards of Execution (SOE) Wall<\/strong>, a growing symbol of accountability, excellence, and shared purpose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This wall isn\u2019t just d\u00e9cor\u2014it tells the story of who we are, what we value, and the high standards we hold ourselves to every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where You Can Find the SOE Wall<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you walk into the Playhouse, you\u2019ll find the SOE Wall right at the front of the building near Mark\u2019s work area<\/strong>, making it one of the first things families, volunteers, and visitors can see. Its placement is intentional\u2014this wall is meant to be seen, interacted with, and celebrated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Is the SOE Wall?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SOE Wall highlights the expectations and best practices that guide how every Playhouse operates. It reflects our dedication to providing consistent, high\u2011quality programming, hospitality, communication, and operations across all GiGi\u2019s Playhouse locations.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each element on the wall serves as a reminder of our mission: to change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance for all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three Levels of Achievement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every Playhouse is evaluated within several SOE categories, and in each category, a location can achieve one of three levels<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Baseline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meeting the essential requirements of Playhouse operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Strong<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going beyond the basics and demonstrating consistent, reliable excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Center of Excellence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highest possible level\u2014representing exceptional performance, sustainability, and leadership across all areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, our staff and board have set a bold, high\u2011expectation goal: to achieve Center of Excellence in every<\/em> category<\/strong>.
It\u2019s ambitious\u2014but so is our commitment to the families we serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SOE Wall exists for one powerful reason:

With more than 50 Playhouses across the U.S. and Mexico\u2014and several more coming soon\u2014shared standards ensure every family receives the same exceptional GiGi\u2019s experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wall encourages us to pause, reflect, and challenge ourselves to grow. Each \u201csticky note\u201d or visual mark of progress represents steps we\u2019re taking toward excellence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who Is Involved?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the SOE initiative is primarily driven by our staff and board<\/strong>, everyone who enters our Playhouse plays a part in supporting it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Staff<\/strong> use the wall to evaluate processes, identify wins, and make improvements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Board members<\/strong> guide long\u2011term alignment and strategic focus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Volunteers and families<\/strong> contribute by participating, offering feedback, and celebrating progress with us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Even though it is not a requirement for families or volunteers, their awareness and encouragement help keep our momentum strong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
