These programs will run<strong> during the day<\/strong> (day TBD at this time), and they are designed to fill a much-needed gap for our adult participants. Parents have expressed a strong desire for more opportunities that promote independence, social engagement, and physical wellness for adults with Down syndrome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why These Programs Matter<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As our participants grow, their needs evolve. While we offer many programs for children and teens, there has been a noticeable gap for adults who want to continue learning, building friendships, and staying active. GiGi\u2019s Achievers and GiGiFIT are here to bridge that gap, providing meaningful experiences that empower adults to thrive in all areas of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About GiGi\u2019s Achievers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GiGi\u2019s Achievers is a <strong>goal-oriented program for adults with Down syndrome<\/strong>, focusing on building independence, confidence, and life skills. Participants work on personal goals in areas such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Social skills<\/strong>: Communication, teamwork, and relationship building.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Daily living<\/strong>: Ex. Budgeting, meal planning, and time management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This program creates a supportive environment where adults can learn and grow together, preparing for success in their communities. The program focuses on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Strength and endurance<\/strong>: Building muscle and improving cardiovascular health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Balance and coordination<\/strong>: Enhancing motor skills for everyday activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Confidence through movement<\/strong>: Helping participants feel strong and capable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GiGiFIT sessions are tailored to each participant\u2019s abilities, ensuring everyone can participate and progress at their own pace.
