Why have you chosen to give your time to GiGi’s?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I have chosen to give my time to GiGi\u2019s becauseI I feel that giving back to my community is the best way for me to grow as a person, and I believe GiGi\u2019s is a model organization in our community. Furthermore, the things that the GiGi\u2019s team do for everyone affected by Down Syndrome are just incredible. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n What is the project you created to support the Playhouse?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The business I created is called Bird Buddies. I build bird feeders and make decal stickers to sell in order to spread awareness for and support GiGi\u2019s Playhouse – Wausau and Down Syndrome. My brother and I started this project together about two years ago. I source all of the wood for the bird bark feeders from the forest at my cabin up north. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n What are your goals for the project?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n My goals are to raise as much money as I can for the Playhouse and also to spread the GiGi\u2019s message throughout the community to build awareness for this wonderful organization.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n What is one thing you have learned about your time at GiGi’s?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One thing I have learned from my time at GiGi\u2019s is how to be a more inclusive person overall. After spending time with the participants at GiGi\u2019s, I have realized just how wonderful they are as people and how much of a joy it is to be around them.
