Dear Friend,

We imagine this letter finds you very busy as you navigate your way through the challenges of COVID-19. We hope this letter also finds you and your family safe and well. As for us, we’re busier than ever at the Playhouse as we continue to explore how we can deliver our Playhouse mission to our families and play a meaningful role in the lives of the Greater Twin Cities Down syndrome community during this time.

As you’ve been a valued member of the GiGi’s Playhouse Twin Cities community, we wanted to reach out to you to let you know that we gratefully recognize that without you, we wouldn’t be the thriving Playhouse we are today. We thank you. Because of your generosity, we’ve grown to serve over 2,000 families and offer over 100 sessions annually with over 25 different programs since our opening. And since our programs went virtual in March, we’ve delivered numerous programs both on demand and live each week in virtual programming options. Your support has helped us not only weather this current storm, but also develop new ways to reach our community and fulfill our mission.

While giving thanks, we’d also like to outline our commitment to you moving forward. It is threefold:

  • Making a difference 
    • We will continue our mission to deliver programming and outreach that will make a difference in the lives of our participants.
  • Connecting our community 
    • We will bring our community together (physically and virtually) to continue to demonstrate the passion and powerful promise of our participants and their families.
  • Evolving free programming  
    • Our free programming will continue to evolve and deliver excellence for our participants, bringing safe options for a return to in-Playhouse learning as well as continued innovative virtual options.

It is with this mission and commitment in mind that we invite you to participate in our Twin Cities Generation G Inaugural Annual Giving Campaign to help us continue to deliver purposeful and progressive programming both physically and virtually whenever possible – and to more families. The Annual Campaign dollars raised will go directly to our operations and programming costs to make this our new reality and next chapter.  Our vision is to build upon what we’ve learned during this closure to include virtual programming in our calendar even after we are able to reopen our physical Playhouse spaces, and to leverage this new virtual capability to reach and impact more within our community.
