Volunteer Spotlight: Andrea!

We are thrilled to shine this month’s volunteer spotlight on someone who has been a part of the GiGi’s Playhouse Southern Tier family since day one—Andrea! Since we opened our doors in 2019, Andrea has generously shared her time, talents, and heart with our community. Over the past six years, she has played a vital role in supporting a wide range of programs and events, and her impact continues to grow. 

Andrea has contributed her energy and enthusiasm to several of our cornerstone programs, including Destination Discovery and Art Explosion, where she helped create fun, inclusive learning experiences that promote creativity, communication, and friendship among our participants. More recently, Andrea has taken on the role of leading our GiGiFIT Adult class, bringing her signature combination of high expectations and heartfelt encouragement to every session. Her leadership not only promotes physical fitness and well-being but also empowers our adult participants to push boundaries and reach new personal goals. 

Beyond her regular program involvement, Andrea has been a steady and dependable presence at events, often stepping in without hesitation whenever we’ve needed an extra pair of hands. Whether it’s behind the scenes or leading from the front, Andrea brings positivity, dedication, and a deep belief in the abilities of every individual we serve. 

Andrea exemplifies what it means to be a GiGi’s Playhouse volunteer—committed, compassionate, and always ready to go above and beyond. We are endlessly grateful for her continued support and the joy she brings to our Playhouse. Thank you, Andrea, for six incredible years of service and for being such an essential part of our mission to change the way the world views Down syndrome!
