Celebrating EJ’s Incredible Journey at GiGi’s Playhouse
At GiGi’s Playhouse, we’re lucky to witness so many incredible journeys—and one of those belongs to EJ, a bright, energetic, and joyful newly-three-year-old who has truly captured our hearts. We first met EJ in 2022 when he was just a newborn, and since then, we’ve had the privilege of watching him grow, learn, and shine in so many wonderful ways.
From day one, it was clear that EJ was something special. Even as a baby, he had a spark—a contagious energy that drew people in. Over the past few years, that spark has only grown brighter. His vibrant personality, enthusiasm for learning, and warm connection with others have made him a cherished part of our community.
EJ has become a familiar and much-loved face in our GiGiFIT Preschooler program. Each week, he joins us with a big smile and an eager attitude, ready to explore, play, and challenge himself. Whether he’s climbing soft structures, balancing on beams, or reaching for bubbles during warm-up, EJ brings joy and excitement to every activity.
Like many toddlers, EJ has his own rhythm—and some days, he’s more interested in the toys than the structured activities. And that’s perfectly okay! What makes his journey so special is that, no matter the task, EJ brings his unique spirit and positive energy into everything he does. His curiosity, playfulness, and natural love for movement make every session brighter for everyone around him.
A Major Milestone: First Steps!
Recently, EJ achieved a huge milestone—he started walking! While his steps are still a little wobbly (as all first steps are), his progress and growing confidence have been nothing short of inspiring. Each week, we see him becoming steadier, more adventurous, and increasingly proud of what his body can do. Watching his face light up after taking a few steps on his own is a moment we won’t soon forget.
These physical milestones are just part of EJ’s story. His development has also been marked by blossoming communication, stronger coordination, and increased confidence in social settings. He’s always quick with a smile, a giggle, or a high-five—and he brings a genuine sense of joy to his peers and instructors alike.
But what truly makes EJ’s journey shine is the incredible support system behind him. His family—his parents and his big brothers—have been unwavering in their love, encouragement, and dedication. Whether they’re cheering him on from the sidelines of class or celebrating his milestones at home, EJ’s family plays an essential role in his growth. Their involvement and positive presence have helped create a strong foundation for EJ to thrive. Not to mention, just look at everyone who came out to support EJ at our GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge 5K & 1 Mile Walk!
The bond between EJ and his family is something special. His parents are not only his biggest cheerleaders but also active participants in his development. Their belief in his potential is evident in every interaction, and it’s clear that their encouragement has helped EJ grow into the confident, happy child he is today.
At GiGi’s Playhouse, we believe that every child deserves a space where they are seen, celebrated, and empowered to succeed in their own time and their own way. EJ reminds us daily of why that mission is so important. His progress is a beautiful example of what happens when a child is surrounded by acceptance, support, and opportunities to shine.
