Celebrating 6 Years of GiGi’s Playhouse Southern Tier!

This year marks a heartfelt milestone for all of us at GiGi’s Playhouse Southern Tier — 6 incredible years of empowering individuals with Down syndrome and their families!

Since opening our doors, we’ve proudly provided 100% free educational, therapeutic, and progressive programming to individuals of all ages with Down syndrome and other disabilities. From infants taking their first steps=, to adults building skills for independence and employment and independence, our Playhouse has become a place of possibility, joy, and growth.

In 2023, we took a major step forward by moving into a brand-new, expanded space in Oakdale Commons. This move has allowed us to enhance our programming, welcome more families, and better serve our community. Today, we’re honored to support over 530 families—and that number continues to grow every single day.

But our story isn’t just about numbers—it’s about people. It’s about the smiles of our kids learning to sign their first words, the confidence gained in literacy tutoring, the friendships formed in our adult programs, and the families who find strength, hope, and community within our walls.

We’re so proud of how far we’ve come—and endlessly grateful for the volunteers, donors, families, and advocates who make it all possible. As we look ahead to the future, we’re more committed than ever to creating a world where individuals with Down syndrome are accepted and embraced for who they are.
