GiGi’s Playhouse had a busy weekend!

Knight Sir Robert of the Kingdom of Riverssance graced us with his presence, along with other various knights and ladies, knighting our participants, and embodying the GiGi’s Generation G message of being accepting, being generous, and being kind.

Sir Robert raised a total of $840 for GiGi’s, not shaving his head for over a year.   His head was finally shaved by a Musketeers Hockey player and another knight on our Sound Stage!  Thank you to Sir Robert and everyone from the Kingdom of Riverssance for their generous donation.

Drama Troupe Begins!

Diana Wooley with Lamb Theatre also kicked off our Drama troupe on Saturday!  This program is made possible through a generous grant from the Gilchrist Foundation.  We’re looking for more participants roughly aged 5th grade and up, so if you know someone who may be interested, please share this information.  Check our online calendar here for more dates.  Confidence, communication and cooperation will be practiced through a variety of drama and improvisation techniques and games.

Goals:

• Empower the performer

• Highlight student actors’ to discover their natural creativity and individuality

• Enhance speech, communication and social skills

• Encourage teamwork and cooperation, and promote positive peer relationships

Please RSVP to the Playhouse or emailing rwhite@gigisplayhouse.org.
