What started as a student-led initiative quickly grew into something much bigger, with teammates, classmates, siblings, and families all coming together to support the cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of their leadership and heart, they raised <strong>over $1,700<\/strong> to help keep GiGi\u2019s Playhouse programs free for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We had the honor of joining them at Royal High School between the JV and Varsity volleyball matches for a special presentation and celebration. Standing on the court together, surrounded by a community that showed up with so much energy and support, was incredibly meaningful. It also gave us the opportunity to share more about GiGi\u2019s Playhouse\u2014our mission, our programs, and the families we serve every single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What makes this story so special isn\u2019t just the funds raised\u2014it\u2019s the intention behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These student-athletes chose to use their platform to create awareness, build connection, and give back. They showed what leadership truly looks like: stepping up, bringing others with you, and making a difference in a way that lasts far beyond a single event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To Micah, Matthew, Ranbir, Rishik, Rancho Simi Insurance, and the entire Royal High School community\u2014thank you.
