New Year = New Growth for GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento!
We are excited to announce that we are adding a few more people to our GiGi’s Board and Core Committees.
Do you have any of the following qualifications? Or do you know someone who does? If so, we could use your talent!
- A high level of motivation and personal interest in the GiGi’s mission
- Strong knowledge of Down syndrome-related issues
- Desire and ability to proactively lead a committee
- Can commit to and dedicate a minimum of 6 hours per month for meetings, events, tasks
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently utilize technological systems, templates, and resources provided by GiGi’s HQ (initial training will be provided)
- Expertise in one or more of the following skill areas:
- Finance
- Fundraising/Development
- Social Media/Marketing
- Accounting
- Education
Immediate Needs
Treasurer (Board Position)
- Ensures all board members are aware of and understand Playhouse financial position, financial health, and cash flow monthly
- Drafts annual budget for board review
- Makes all bank deposits and manage bank relationship
- Holds all accountable for budgets, expenses
- Interacts with GiGi’s HQ and centralized bookkeeper on Playhouse financial and audit matters
Social Media Committee
- Takes initiative to find ideas for content
- Develops and presents to Board monthly Social Media plan Independently researches and creates content for posts
- Possesses working knowledge of the systems and how to access tools to post content (social media sites, Zendesk, Yammer, Sharepoint site, OneCause/BidPal, and any other technology that may be adopted or become available) - initial training will be provided
- Participates in bimonthly network marketing calls
Fundraising Committee Member
- Helps build annual fundraising plan and ensures its execution
- Manages grant pipeline, major gifts, and 3rd party events
- Researches, writes, and follows up on grants
- Seeks and secures 3rd party fundraising events and expand donor base
