Volunteer Spotlight + Best of All: Kassidy & Nancy
This month’s Best of All spotlight goes to Kassidy, one of our amazing participants who continues to inspire us with her growth and joy! Her mom shared how much she loves coming to GiGi’s — it’s truly become one of her favorite places. Since joining our programs, she’s come out of her shell more and more, building confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging.
Kassidy attends many different programs at the Playhouse and brings her bright smile and enthusiasm to each one. We’re so proud of her and all the wonderful progress she’s made. Watching her shine a little brighter each time she walks through our doors is what GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento is all about!
And we couldn’t celebrate Kassidy without also honoring someone who helps make moments like hers possible.
About four and a half years ago, Nancy walked through the doors of GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento and asked if she could help. Since then, she’s become an incredible part of our Playhouse family — always ready with a smile, a helping hand, and a heart full of love. Nancy says GiGi’s is her “happy place,” and it’s easy to see why. Her joy shines through every time she’s here, from greeting participants with warmth to celebrating their every success.
Nancy reminds us that volunteering at GiGi’s isn’t just about giving — it’s also about receiving. “I truly believe I receive far more than I give,” she says. We’re so grateful for the love, time, and energy she brings to our community.
Together, Kassidy and Nancy represent the heart of GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento — building a space where confidence grows, friendships thrive, and acceptance for all shines bright.
