Every year on March 21st, we come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD)—a day dedicated to raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and embracing the incredible individuals in our community with Down syndrome.

Why March 21st? Because Down syndrome occurs when there is a third copy of the 21st chromosome—a small but mighty difference that deserves to be recognized, celebrated, and supported!

Join Us for a Sweet Celebration!

This year, GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento is inviting YOU to celebrate with us at Leatherby’s Family Creamery from 5:00 to 11:00 PM! Gather your friends and family, wear your blue and yellow or your favorite Down syndrome acceptance gear, and enjoy an evening filled with community, connection, and, of course, delicious treats.

We love seeing old faces and meeting new people, so bring a friend and join the fun—because I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

Leatherby’s has been a longtime supporter of GiGi’s Playhouse Sacramento, and we truly appreciate their generosity. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go directly to support our free and purposeful programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Plus, all local Leatherby’s locations are participating, so you can stop by the one closest to you and still be part of the fun!
