Rochester’s First Ever Higher Education Fair for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Held at the Playhouse!

GiGi’s Playhouse Rochester recently partnered with Roberts Wesleyan College to bring an incredible opportunity to local families!  Representatives from 5 local colleges came to the Playhouse to present information on programs they offer for higher education for participants.  The event attracted over 75 attendees.  There was a panel of speakers consisting of parents and students of these programs. They offered insight into their experiences with these programs and how they benefited them.

GiGi’s Playhouse was proud to host this special event!  We hope to have even more local colleges participate next year!  We would like to thank Kimberley Wiedefeld for her tireless work in organizing this event and to the following participating colleges:

  • Monroe Community College
  • Roberts Wesleyan College
  • University of Rochester
  • Keuka College
  • Nazareth College
