{"id":14034,"date":"2019-11-14T17:27:56","date_gmt":"2019-11-14T22:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/raleigh\/?p=14034"},"modified":"2024-09-11T09:25:01","modified_gmt":"2024-09-11T13:25:01","slug":"rewarding-participants-volunteers-interacting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gigisplayhouse.org\/raleigh\/rewarding-participants-volunteers-interacting\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a0 It\u2019s rewarding for me to see the participants and the volunteers interacting, laughing, learning, sharing and hanging out with each other."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I really enjoy volunteering at GiGi\u2019s Playhouse in Raleigh.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been involved with a few different programs.<\/p>\n<p>I participated in the math tutoring program as a tutor with 2 different students.\u00a0 I enjoyed the one on one interaction with the students and the relationship that developed as I worked with them.\u00a0 It was challenging and exciting to find creative ways to make math concepts fun to learn and easier to understand.\u00a0 And it was rewarding when we found something that clicked for them.<\/p>\n<p>I also currently participate in Fantastic Friends as a co-leader.\u00a0 This is a great program.\u00a0 It\u2019s designed for adults to come together for a couple of hours each month.\u00a0 Every month there are different activities where participants can experience all kinds of fun activities.\u00a0 It\u2019s rewarding for me to see the participants and the volunteers interacting, laughing, learning, sharing and hanging out with each other.\u00a0 It\u2019s wonderful to see the connections and interactions each month.\u00a0\u00a0 It does truly feel like a group of friends getting together to hang out each month.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for keeping GiGi\u2019s a great place to volunteer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I really enjoy volunteering at GiGi\u2019s Playhouse in Raleigh.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been involved with a few different programs.
