It’s rewarding for me to see the participants and the volunteers interacting, laughing, learning, sharing and hanging out with each other.

I really enjoy volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse in Raleigh.  I’ve been involved with a few different programs.

I participated in the math tutoring program as a tutor with 2 different students.  I enjoyed the one on one interaction with the students and the relationship that developed as I worked with them.  It was challenging and exciting to find creative ways to make math concepts fun to learn and easier to understand.  And it was rewarding when we found something that clicked for them.

I also currently participate in Fantastic Friends as a co-leader.  This is a great program.  It’s designed for adults to come together for a couple of hours each month.  Every month there are different activities where participants can experience all kinds of fun activities.  It’s rewarding for me to see the participants and the volunteers interacting, laughing, learning, sharing and hanging out with each other.  It’s wonderful to see the connections and interactions each month.   It does truly feel like a group of friends getting together to hang out each month.

Thank you all for keeping GiGi’s a great place to volunteer.
