Ready! Get Set! Run, Walk or Dash! Build more ACCEPTANCE for kids and adults with Down syndrome! We can’t wait to run, walk, dash and celebrate with you! This family-friendly morning brings together new friends, families, community members and HUGE HEARTS! Don\u2019t miss out!<\/p>\n

LMNOP (Birth-5 years)<\/h2>\n

LMNOP is an interactive and engaging program designed to guide parents and young children through learning basic sign language and other forms of communication\u00a0using music and language-based activities.\u00a0The theme will be Fire Safety! We recommend this program for ages birth-5 years.<\/p>\n

Dance Me a Story (10-13 years)<\/h2>\n

Dance Me a Story; Exploring Literature through Ballet is a fun interactive dance program for people of all ages encouraging reading through the vehicle of dance. Dance Me a Story gives the participant a physical and imaginative way of interpreting what is read from a book and translating the words into creative movement. Registration has been reopened for this series. Please RSVP to attend the next session!<\/p>\n

Friends, Fun, and Fitness (13+ years)<\/h2>\n

Our friends get together for physical activity and healthy eating tips, tailored just for teens and adults! Friends, Fun & Fitness is provided in cooperation with CrossFit OC3 and a grant provided by the Scott County Regional Development Authority. This program will run every other Thursday from September 26st<\/sup> to November 21st<\/sup>. Registration is closed.<\/p>\n

Teen Tastic (13-17) & Fantastic Friends (18+)<\/h2>\n

Teen Tastic promotes friendship, social interactions, communication through a variety of social activities, outing, and games for teens. Participants in Teen Tastic gain confidence, leadership skills, and empowerment while working as part of a team or on individual projects and tasks.<\/p>\n

Fantastic Friends program supports the development of social skills and language through peer to peer interaction in a casual fun setting. Adult participants participate in the planning of activities so that group activities are based on personal interests.<\/p>\n

Family Speaker Series (parents\/guardians)<\/h2>\n

This Family Speaker Series will focus on YOU. We want to hear from you, the parents\/guardians that come to GiGi\u2019s Playhouse! We will focus on what you want for future happenings at GiGi\u2019s (programming, Family Speaker Series topics, and so much more). We will also discuss how you are advocates for GiGi\u2019s Playhouse and how this can help us spread our message. Family Speaker Series touches on a variety of topics, allowing our families to come in and talk with one other, as well as, bringing community members to the Playhouse to provide ideas and strategies to our families.<\/p>\n

Halloween Party (0-12 yrs)<\/h2>\n

Join GiGi\u2019s for a Halloween Party! Trunk or Treat at the Playhouse with games and giveaways too!<\/p>\n
