This event is FANTASTIC 4 <\/strong>everyone!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EVERYONE is welcome. Whether you\u2019re running, walking, rolling, pushing a stroller, or just coming to cheer, you belong at the GiGi\u2019s 5K. You can even help without being there in person!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a peer-to-peer fundraising event, meaning we count on you to spread the word, share the event, and invite your friends, family, and coworkers to join you. Social media is a great way to spread the word! There is a Facebook event set up linked here<\/a>.<\/a> Invite everyone you know!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s all about team spirit, and it is full of friendly competitions too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705 Join or create a team<\/strong> (families, businesses, sports teams, and groups are encouraged)
\u2705 Donate to a team<\/strong> (not a runner or walker or maybe live far away and want to support)
\u2705 Become a sponsor<\/strong> (perfect for businesses, but families can sponsor too)
\u2705 Volunteer <\/strong>(perfect group volunteer activity – family with kids, teams, clubs, and coworkers)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Superhero Fundraising Teams<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thank you to all the team captains for believing in GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Quad Cities and the GiGi\u2019s mission of changing the way the world views Down syndrome. Without you, this event and our Playhouse programs would not be possible! Teams that raise $321 by May 1st will earn a personalized yard sign featured on the run\/walk route. Additional team incentives are listed at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event requires a lot of hands to run smoothly. There are volunteer opportunities the week prior to and the day of the event, too! We promise you will have FUN!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raffle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A big part of this event is the awesome raffle. Thanks to generous donations, there are typically 75-100 raffle items\/baskets. Can you help by donating an item or two? Raffle items can be dropped off at the Playhouse during business\/staffed hours. Need some suggestions? Contact the Playhouse!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love participating in the raffle by purchasing raffle tickets? YAY and thank you! The drawings will take place while everyone enjoys the 1-mile inspirational walk. Winners will be announced as walkers return to the park. We hope this will speed up the process!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
