Volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities\u00a0<\/h1>\n

Thank you for your interest in becoming a GiGi’s Playhouse\u00a0Quad Cities\u00a0Volunteer!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Many of our programs and daily operations are led by volunteers, and we rely on their passion and dedication to keep our programs vibrant, educational, fun, and free for the Quad Cities Down syndrome community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\tWho:<\/strong>
\nParents, family members, clinicians, and individuals who believe in\u00a0the GiGi’s\u00a0Playhouse mission!\u00a0\u00a0\n\tWhat:<\/strong>
\nProgram\u00a0leaders and assistants, tutors,\u00a0special\u00a0events, administrative\u00a0tasks,\u00a0board members,\u00a0and more.\u00a0\u00a0\n\tWhy:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>
\nVolunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse gives you the opportunity to support individuals with Down syndrome in achieving their goals, while making lifelong connections and gaining new skills. Your time and talents will help us continue to provide free programs and create a welcoming community for all!\u00a0\n\t

How\u00a0to Become a GiGi’s Playhouse Volunteer<\/h2>\n

To become a volunteer at GiGi’s Playhouse you must complete the following steps:\u00a0<\/p>\n\t

1.\u00a0Submit\u00a0the\u202fVolunteer Interest Form<\/h3>\nShare about yourself and what areas you would like to help support GiGi’s Playhouse!
\nAfter completing the form,\u00a0you will\u00a0receive a confirmation email letting you know that\u00a0we’ve\u00a0received your interest. From there, please wait for a follow-up email from our team with details about upcoming volunteer orientations.\n

*Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.\u00a0Anyone under 18 will need parent or guardian approval.\u00a0Additional\u00a0details about teenage volunteers are provided below. Children under 14 may have opportunities to volunteer alongside a parent or guardian if arranged in advance with staff.<\/p>\n\t

2. Attend Volunteer Orientation<\/h3>\n

You will be provided with information about any upcoming orientations scheduled. Orientations are held\u00a0virtually\u00a03\u00a0times a month with our national\u00a0office\u00a0and\/or a one-on-one meeting can be scheduled with our staff.<\/p>\n
