The Amina Grace Speech and Language Program
The Amina Grace Speech and Language Program provides youth, teens and adults with greatly expanded opportunities to evolve and refine their speech and language skills. Building receptive, expressive and social language skills, as well as, speech clarity and fluency are paramount to fostering greater self-confidence, problem-solving, school readiness, independence, and overall quality of life. We also strive to empower our families to know how to help participants in this program by sending home tools for generalization outside of the therapy session and allowing families time to speak one on one with a Speech Language Pathologist to answer any questions they might have. In April 2017, GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities will begin to offer the Amina Grace Speech and Language Program, led by our part-time speech-language pathologist, Jennifer Parsons, MS/CCC-SLP.
The Speech and Language Program is open to participants of ALL AGES. Families must register for sessions each time they are offered. Registration is mandatory for involvement in the program. New participants are evaluated utilizing formal and informal measures and will receive therapy catered to their specific needs and families will get to decide what they want to work on during sessions. Even better, this program, like all others at GiGi’s Playhouse, are provided completely FREE of charge to all our families!
