GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix/Scottsdale-Annual Friends Campaign-Brooklyn’s Team Page

GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix/Scottsdale’s Annual Friends Campaign is in full swing during the month of December.  Our GiGi’s Participants create their own fundraising page and go out to their families, friends, and the community at large to request support for the Playhouse.  All programs are offered free of charge for all age groups.

Today, we share Brooklyn Marble’s story and what GiGi’s Playhouse means to her.

As you can see I have been growing right along with GiGi’s Playhouse over the last 3 years!!

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page!

Mom and I have a hard time putting into words just how important and impactful GiGi’s Playhouse has been for our whole family. It’s not just a safe place for me to go and play with total understanding; mom says that I receive some type of therapy for FREE at each program. I think I play fun sports, do gymnastics, create artwork, play instruments and look at books; mom says I work on gross motor skills to keep up with other kids, fine motor skills to help me through school and get word recognition and reading tutoring so I can give my best each day. One thing we both agree on is that we have all formed lifelong friendships. While I play with my friends and learn social skills mom and dad get to talk to other parents and learn skills to guide us through our journey and help others with their journey too!!

GiGi’s is a part of my past, my present and will be a part of my future for a long time to come. The Friends of GiGi’s Campaign is our Annual Fundraiser that will help ensure a lifetime of FREE educational, therapeutic and job training programs for all individuals with Down syndrome. I may not need job training yet…I have my job of keeping mom and dad on their toes down to an art…but each program is a building block to get me to that point.

As an added bonus…..GiGi’s is a Charitable Giving Organization and qualifies for the tax credit of $400/individual and $800 for couples. This means anything you donate up to that amount you can get back 100% once you file your taxes!! Your donation can cost you nothing in the long run but the value is exponential to me and my friends.

Please help me support GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers by making a donation through my page. Every little bit helps from $1.00 to $100.00….$1.00 might get me a snack you know and who doesn’t love treats!!

Mom, dad and I all want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all any support you are willing to give. As the saying goes….It takes a Village and we love each and every member of our village!!!

Hugs and kisses,

(Mom and Dad too…someone had to type this for me you know

Thank you for sharing your Team Page, Brooklyn.

This holiday season, we hope you will become a GiG’s Friend and support the Playhouse.  No donation is too small. Visit our webpage at for information on the Friends Campaign and how you can support the Playhouse.
