March is an exciting and meaningful month at GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County! We are gearing up for two major celebrations that highlight the heart of our mission. On March 14, we will host The Lucky Few Gala at the Coto de Caza Golf & Raquet Club—a vital fundraising event that helps sustain our free programs for individuals with Down syndrome. As a nonprofit that relies entirely on donations, this gala is crucial in ensuring we can continue to empower and support our community.
Later in the month, on March 21, we will join the global celebration of World Down Syndrome Day with our annual ice cream party at the Playhouse—an opportunity to recognize and honor the incredible individuals with Down syndrome who inspire us every day.
Purchase your tickets today for the 3rd Annual GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County Gala, The Lucky Few, on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the prestigious Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club. This special evening is dedicated to celebrating the incredible resilience and joy of individuals with Down syndrome.
Festivities kick off at 5:00 PM with a cocktail hour and silent auction. Guests will then enjoy a delightful buffet dinner accompanied by drinks, followed by an inspirational video and a heartwarming performance by our Playhouse participants. The excitement continues with a lively auction hosted by our dynamic auctioneer, culminating in a night of dancing to live music from an incredible band. Don’t miss this unforgettable celebration!

October 9, 2025 Putting for the Playhouse
We’re excited to offer EmpowerMed, a workshop designed to help neurodivergent individuals and their caregivers confidently navigate medical appointments! Led by Eden, an Occupational Therapy student and dedicated GiGi’s Playhouse volunteer, this workshop will provide strategies for preparing for appointments, advocating for individualized sensory needs, and ensuring a more comfortable experience for both the individual and their family.
Join us for EmpowerMed on Wednesday, 3/19/2025 at 4pm (before GiGiFIT/Fantastic Friends) or Friday, 3/21/2025 (before the ice cream party) at 4pm. If you’re unable to attend, additional resources will be available upon request. The deadline to register is 3/17/2025.
Each week, GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County offers amazing and completely FREE group programs for our families, packed with fun and enriching experiences for everyone involved. Currently, we offer group programs for individuals aged 13 and up, plus open play and events for all ages—check out the schedule below to see specific age groups and times. Additionally, we hope to relaunch LMNOP, our early childhood program for babies ages 0-4, which focuses on language development and socialization through play.
March has arrived, bringing fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and connect at GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County! This month is all about St. Patrick’s Day fun and celebrating World Down Syndrome Day with our annual ice cream party. As always, our free programs continue to empower individuals with Down syndrome and foster a warm, inclusive community.
