Courtney is Sweet as Honey…
…And Proud To BEE Apart Of GiGi’s: Courtney Hall is Best of All!

Courtney Hall, 35, is one of the kindest individuals to have graced the doors of GiGi’s Playhouse Orange County. She first visited with her mother, Sharon, in early 2023. Initially uncertain about her place at our facility due to her diagnosis not being Down syndrome, Courtney was relieved and excited when I explained that our Playhouse welcomes individuals of all abilities. Eager to expand her social circle and participate in more activities, Courtney found a home here.
Courtney quickly became a cornerstone of our adult programs—GiGiFIT, Fantastic Friends, and GiGi’s Kitchen—where she formed fast friendships with everyone. Her weekly presence brought a wave of creativity, enthusiasm, kindness, and optimism, lighting up any room she entered and making everyone feel seen and valued. It wasn’t long before Courtney’s influence extended beyond these programs, as she serves as an informal ambassador for GiGi’s Playhouse, encouraging others to join and experience the supportive and inclusive environment.
Courtney’s dedication to the Playhouse extends to every special event we host. Whether it’s Halloween parties, line dancing, Christmas movie nights, or Super Bowl parties, she embraces each theme with unmatched enthusiasm. Even on regular days, she stands out with her impeccable nails, outfits, and hair accessories, earning her the title of our Playhouse fashionista. Always punctual, she never misses a chance to greet new faces with a warm “hello” and “how are you,” making sure everyone feels welcome. Her positive energy is infectious, often setting the tone for events and making them even more enjoyable for everyone involved.

One particularly memorable event was last year’s Trunk or Treat Halloween party, where Courtney arrived dressed as a dazzling bumble bee, complete with a yellow and black striped socks and sparkling wings. Always in the festive spirit! Recently, Courtney asked to celebrate her birthday at the Playhouse, and she meticulously planned the entire event. From the food to the activities, every detail was carefully considered. She even took on the role of teacher, guiding her friends through the steps of making birthday crowns and dance ribbons. Her ideas were a hit, and everyone loved the celebration, just as they love her.

As we look to the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to enlist Courtney’s help in planning more events at the Playhouse. Her natural talent for organizing and her genuine care for her friends ensure that any celebration she plans is bound to be a success. I joke that I should book her for a New Year’s Eve party at the Playhouse, as I know she would plan quite the celebration…but maybe I should start getting serious about this idea! We are grateful for Courtney’s presence and look forward to many more memorable moments with her in our community. Her infectious spirit and unwavering dedication make her a beloved member of our Playhouse family, and her contributions enrich our programs and events in countless ways.

Courtney Hall is more than just a participant at GiGi’s Playhouse; she is a beacon of positivity and inclusivity, she is truly represents what we call the Best of All. Her journey with us has been marked by countless moments of joy, creativity, and connection. We are honored to have Courtney and her family as part of our community and look forward to the continued impact she will undoubtedly have on all of us. Her story is a reminder of the power of kindness, the importance of inclusion, and the incredible difference one person can make.
