<\/a><\/p>\r\nHow and when did you first get involved with <\/b>GiGi\u2019s <\/b>Playhouse NYC?<\/b>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\r\n I joined the board of GiGi\u2019s NYC earlier this year, in April 2020, during the COVID pandemic. I was especially drawn to the message of acceptance for all. From the moment that I first met with Frank, Pat and Jane, and saw their passion and energy, I knew that I wanted to contribute to the mission of this organization.<\/p>\r\n What does your role on the Board look like?<\/b><\/em><\/p>\r\n I lead the Marketing and Communications Committee (or MarCom for short) with Amy Romero. We are responsible for developing strategies to spread the message of GiGi\u2019s NYC and connect with our community. I am also part of the Gala Committee and Development Committee. I am incredibly proud of the success of our very first virtual gala this year and look forward to hopefully attending the gala in person next year!<\/p>\r\n What is your favorite thing about the <\/b><\/b>GiGi\u2019s <\/b>NYC community?<\/b>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\r\n My favorite part about joining the GiGi\u2019s board has been the opportunity to meet such a talented, passionate, and motivated group of people. I truly believe that when we work together, the possibilities are endless!<\/p>\r\n What from our community are you most proud of?<\/b><\/em><\/p>\r\n I have been amazed by the strong sense of community at GiGi\u2019s NYC, especially during this difficult time and even in this virtual environment. The lifelong commitment to participants of all ages and their families, and the unwavering dedication to acceptance makes me proud to be part of this inspiring community.
