Crescent City Classic 10K 2026 “Run for It” Program supporting GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans

GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans was selected for the 2026 Crescent City Classic 10K (CCC10K) “Run for It” charity partner program for the third year in a row! The CCC is one of the premiere 10K races in the country, and a whole lot of fun!  The event will be on Saturday, April 4, 2026 (the Saturday before Easter).  The funds team members raise go to support the free, educational and therapeutic programs for the community at GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans Down Syndrome Achievement Center!   

As a Run for It partner, GiGi’s NOLA is forming a team of runners, joggers, walkers, and virtual supporters who commit to raising a minimum of $200 for the Playhouse.  GiGi’s goal this year is to have 60 team members and raise over $25,000 to support GiGi’s FREE educational and therapeutic-based programs!

You can walk or run, in-person or virtually! Support us from anywhere!   And something NEW for 2026 is that you can be part of BOTH a Run for It team and a Running Team in the Michelob Ultra Team Challenge! So, if you are part of a running group that participates in the CCC10K, you can also run to support GiGi’s Playhouse this year!

CCC Run for It Team members receive the following perks:

• CCC10K charity bib with a meal coupon for Cane’s
• CCC10K T-shirt
• CCC10K hat (choice of blue or gray)
• VIP entrance to the Run for It Charity Village at the Race Fest

GiGi’s Team member perks:

• Exclusive GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans CCC T-shirt only available to our 2026 team and volunteers (This year we will have a performance fabric option for our Run for It Team!)
• Other goodies & GiGi’s swag, including a hat personally designed by a GiGi’s participant!
• Team members who raise at least $300 can receive a refund of the discounted $50 race registration fee, unless they want the full amount of their funds raised to go directly to supporting GiGi’s Playhouse educational and therapeutic programs.

Your GiGi’s Team T-shirt & swag can be picked up:

• before the race at the Health & Fitness Expo Thursday, April 2 or Friday, April 2
• after the race during open Playhouse hours (if you are a virtual runner, we will have your items from the CCC at the Playhouse after the race, too!)

One of the best things about having a Run for It team is that GiGi’s Playhouse has the opportunity to spread the message of acceptance at pre-race Health Expo at the Hyatt Regency the Thursday and Friday (April 2^nd and 3^rd) before the race!  This is where you will pick up your CCC10K bib, CCC T-shirt & hat, and your GiGi’s Team T-shirt and swag!***

Other FAQs:

• NEW FOR 2026: For the first time, you can be part of botha Run for It fundraising team and a Michelob Ultra Team Challenge Team; however, only Run for It Team members and Starting line volunteers are allowed in the VIP “Charity Village” section of Race Fest (general race participants don’t have access).
• NEW FOR 2026: GiGi’s can accept check donations to apply to a team member’s fundraising page!  Bring your donations to the Playhouse and we will make sure they get applied to your page – just make sure they write your name on the memo line!
• Strollers are welcome in the race! Children 5 and under are free, however they will not receive a bib, t-shirt, or medal.
• If you are a fast runner and want to be in the runner corrals, please see  https://ccc10k.com/ccc10k/ for details on submitting your verified time for seeded running corrals.
• Existing general registrations for the CCC can be transferred to the GiGi’s Playhouse Team.  Contact us if you need a how-to.

This is the button you will click to become a charity runner for GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans Down Syndrome Achievement Center:

After checking that you agree with the waiver, you will see the option to select a team.  This is where if you are in a running group, you will select that team’s name.  If you are not in a running club, no worries!  You can select “No Team” and continue your registration as usual.

Fill out your information, hat preference, and shirt size.  When you get to the —Select a Corral—- screen you have two options:

1. If you are a fast runner and want to be in a seeded corral, you will pick a “SEEDED” Corral, and you will need to submit verification of your pace to the CCC.
2. If you are a casual jogger/walker, you will select “CHARITY – RUN FOR IT CHARITY PARTICIPANTS”

If you raise over $300, but you want all of the money you raise to go to supporting the FREE educational and therapeutic programs offered at GiGi’s Playhouse, you can un-checkthe box that says “I want to receive a refund for a portion of my event registration fee if I raise at least $300.”  If you leave it checked, the CCC will reduce the final donation payment to GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans by $50.

Next, your Tagline can be anything, but if you need ideas, try:
“[NAME] is supporting GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans Down Syndrome Achievement Center!”

Similarly, you can create a custom URL (this is what the link will say when you copy/paste and send it to your family and friends).

Feel free to customize your Personal Message To Display on your Charity Runner Page to let your friends and family know why you are supporting GiGi’s Playhouse.

You can leave this next section as “No Team” if you do not work for one of the sponsoring hospitals in the drop-down menu.

***IMPORTANT: If you do not plan to pick up your CCC10K race bib at the Health and Fitness Expo on the Thursday, April 2^nd or Friday April 3^rd, please arrange for a friend to pick  it up for you OR select the “Mailed Race Bib Option.” You must have your CCC10K Race Bib to participate in the CCC10K race and to enter Race Fest at the end of it.
