Crescent City Classic 10K 2025 “Run for It” Program supporting GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans Down Syndrome Achievement Center

GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans was selected for the 2025 Crescent City Classic (CCC) “Run for It” charity partner program for the second year in a row! The CCC is one of the premiere 10K races in the country, and a whole lot of fun! 

The funds team members raise go to supporting the free, educational and therapeutic programs for the community at GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans Down Syndrome Achievement Center!  These funds cover things like rent and administrative costs that GiGi’s grant funding does not cover.

As a Run for It partner, GiGi’s NOLA is forming a team of runners, joggers, walkers, and virtual supporters who commit to raising a minimum of $200 for the Playhouse.  Last year, our goal was to have 50 team members and to raise $10,000. We met and surpassed our goal!  This year, we are doubling our goal to 100 team members and raising $20,000 to support GiGi’s FREE educational and therapeutic-based programs!

You can walk or run, in-person or virtually. Support us from anywhere!

CCC Run for It Team members receive the following perks:

• Special CCC charity bib
• CCC T-shirt
• CCC hat (new for 2025! – option white trucker hat or gray baseball cap)
• VIP entrance to the Run for It Charity Village at the Race Fest (new for 2025!)
• Team members who raise $300 are able to receive a refund of the race registration fee, unless they want the full amount of their funds raised to go to GiGi’s.
• GiGi’s Team member perks:
  Exclusive GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans CCC T-shirt only available to our 2025 team
• Free tray of crawfish at the GiGi’s Playhouse Crawfish Boil on March 29, 2025
• Other goodies & GiGi’s swag

One of the best things about having a Run for It team is that GiGi’s Playhouse has the opportunity to spread the message of acceptance at pre-race Health Expo at the Hyatt the Thursday and Friday before the race!  This is where you will pick up your CCC10K bib, CCC T-shirt & hat, and your GiGi’s Team T-shirt and swag!*** This is also your opportunity to sign the CCC Team poster that will be displayed at GiGi’s Playhouse!

Other FAQs:

• Charity runners will receive their own unique fundraising page to share with family and friends
• Children 5 and under are free, however they will not receive a bib, t-shirt, or medal
• Strollers are welcome in the race
• Entry Fees are non-refundable

• Existing general registrations for the CCC can be transferred to the GiGi’s Playhouse Team

This is the button you will click to become a charity runner for GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans Down Syndrome Achievement Center:

Fill out your information.  When you get to the —Select a Corral—- screen you have two options:

1. If you are a fast runner and want to be in a seeded corral, you will pick a “SEEDED” Corral, and you will need to submit verification of your pace to the CCC.
2. If you are a walker, you will select “I/CHARITY – ORANGE”

Thank you for fundraising for GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans!  If you raise over $300, and you want all of the money you raise to go to supporting the FREE educational and therapeutic programs offered to the Down syndrome community at GiGi’s Playhouse, you can uncheck the box that says “I want to receive a refund for a portion of my event registration fee if I raise at least $300.”  Otherwise, you can leave it checked, and the CCC will reduce the final payment to GiGi’s Playhouse by $45.

Your tagline can be anything, but if you need ideas, try:

You will need to have your CCC10K Race Bib to participate in the race.

Your GiGi’s Team T-shirt & swag can be picked up:

1. before the race at GiGi’s Playhouse Saturday, April 12th, Tuesday April 15th, or Wednesday, April 16^th during open Playhouse hours
2. before the race at the Health & Fitness Expo Thursday and Friday
3. after the Race at GiGi’s post-race festival tent
4. after the race during open Playhouse hours
