Special Olympics Young Athletes Partners with GiGi’s!

GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville is SO excited to partner with Special Olympics Tennessee to offer Special Olympics Young Athletes™ (SOYA) beginning the Spring semester of 2016! SOYA is a unique sport and play program for children with intellectual disabilities. The focus is on fun activities that are important to mental and physical growth. Children ages 2.5-7 enjoy games and activities that develop motor skills and hand-eye coordination. SOYA is an early introduction to sports and to the wonderful world of Special Olympics.
The Spring semester of SOYA will meet weekly at the Gordon Jewish Community Center of Nashville on Monday evenings from 5:00-5:45pm (ages 2.5-4) and 6:00-6:45pm (ages 5-7) from February 1-April 18 (there will be no sessions on March 7 and March 21 due to Spring Break). Attendance is important and registration will be limited to a maximum of 10 participants per session. We ask that Volunteers for this program will commit to the entirety of the semester for the time allotted (5:00-7:00p)
