3 2 1 Dash For Down Syndrome 5K
May 12, 2016
Do you love to help a good cause? Do you love to run? Have we got the event for you!
3 2 1 Dash For Down Syndrome 5K on June 11, 2016 is a race for adults and children, along with a “dash” run for individuals with Down Syndrome. Race proceeds will benefit GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville, a one-of-a-kind achievement center for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.
The 5k race course starts in Shelby Park in Nashville and travels along the banks of the winding Cumberland River that flows next to Shelby Bottoms Park. The race will end close to the start line back in Shelby Park. Choose your speed: run or walk. And you can even raise even more money to help individuals with Down syndrome achieve great things through personal fund raising efforts if you wish.
The Dash for Down syndrome will take place the morning of the race and will be roughly 0.11 miles long. Entry into the Dash is free but parents of participants will be able to fund raise for GiGi’s on behalf of your dasher.
Don’t want to run? That’s okay! We will have lots of fun activities for families in the park.
