Tori and Andrew in Action: Our Ambassadors’ Impact
We are thrilled to share the incredible achievements and advocacy efforts of our GiGi’s Nashville Ambassadors, Tori and Andrew! As we work to develop and expand our Ambassador program, Tori and Andrew have already set a high standard, demonstrating outstanding dedication and enthusiasm. Their journey with us and their passion for our community highlight the essence of what it means to be part of GiGi’s Playhouse.
Tori has been a beloved participant at GiGi’s Nashville for seven years, with her favorite program being Fantastic Friends. Andrew, who has been part of our community for a decade, finds joy in our Fun, Friends, & Fitness and Yoga programs. Both have shown remarkable commitment to representing our mission and values, becoming true embodiments of our core principles.
In 2024, Tori and Andrew have volunteered at numerous playhouse events, showcasing their leadership and community spirit. Both have been long-time participants in Fantastic Friends, which this spring had a unit focused on donor stewardship. The Donor Party in February was the culminating event for our adult participants, who planned, organized, and carried out the special occasion. Andrew and Tori excelled as Ambassadors at this year’s party. Andrew welcomed donors with a warm smile and heartfelt gratitude, making them feel valued and appreciated. Meanwhile, Tori took on the role of tour guide, offering insightful Playhouse tours and capturing memorable moments through photography and posing for photo ops with our guests. Their enthusiasm and dedication were evident in every interaction, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
Their commitment to our cause was especially evident at our Annual “i Have a Voice” Gala at the Country Music Hall of Fame in April. Tori and Andrew delivered passionate speeches that resonated deeply with the audience, representing our community with pride and eloquence. Their words highlighted the importance of inclusion and the impact of our programs, inspiring everyone present to support our mission.

Most recently, Tori and Andrew played key roles as opening speakers at our Luau, helping to kick off our summer programs with energy and enthusiasm. Their involvement set a positive tone for the event, and their ability to engage and inspire others was on full display. Their contributions to these events are just a few examples of how they continuously go above and beyond to advocate for our community.

Beyond their event participation, Tori and Andrew’s dedication to GiGi’s Playhouse is unwavering. They consistently share their personal experiences and passions from GiGi’s with others, actively working to raise awareness and promote acceptance within our community. Self-advocacy is a critical aspect of personal development for individuals with Down syndrome. It involves teaching them the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to speak up for themselves, make informed decisions, and actively participate in their communities. Tori and Andrew’s commitment to living their #BestofAll every day serves as an inspiration to us all, demonstrating the profound impact of our programs on individual lives.
Tori shared her feelings about being a GiGi’s Ambassador, saying, “Being an Ambassador makes me feel excited and proud. It makes me feel special because I like to talk about GiGi’s.” Her words capture the joy and pride she feels in her role, reflecting the positive influence of GiGi’s Playhouse on her life.
Andrew expressed what the role means to him, stating, “I like to be an Ambassador because I have good friends at GiGi’s, and I like to teach others about them and GiGi’s. Being an Ambassador makes me feel great and happy.” Andrew’s enthusiasm and happiness in his Ambassador role highlight the supportive and enriching environment that GiGi’s Playhouse provides.
As we continue to develop our Ambassador program, we are excited to see Tori and Andrew continue to lead with passion and dedication. Their advocacy and involvement are vital to our mission, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments. Their stories remind us of the importance of community and the difference we can make when we come together to support and celebrate each other.

Together, we can continue to make a positive impact and create a world where everyone is valued and included.
Thank you, Tori and Andrew, for your unwavering commitment and for being such exceptional representatives of GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville. Your efforts not only uplift our community but also pave the way for greater understanding and acceptance of individuals with Down syndrome everywhere.
