This summer, GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Milwaukee was lucky to have a truly inspiring intern join our team, Claire Hildebrand, an Art Therapy student from Mount Mary University. Claire brought a unique blend of creativity, patience, and purpose to every session she led, and we are thrilled to feature her in this month\u2019s Volunteer Spotlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claire served as an Art Therapy Intern during our summer session, where she skillfully turned everyday moments into opportunities for self-expression and connection. Her approach to programming reflected her deep understanding of the therapeutic power of creativity and our participants absolutely loved it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She led Art Explosion each week, developing imaginative themes that not only kept things fresh and exciting but also encouraged participants to explore different artistic techniques and ideas. Claire made sure each session was accessible, engaging, and fun for everyone involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claire didn\u2019t just stop at visual art. She also brought her creativity into the kitchen! She also led GiGi\u2019s Kitchen Kids and Teen, where she turned simple recipes into culinary works of art. From colorful rocket ship fruit skewers to playful watermelon pizzas to flower garden focaccia, Claire helped participants build not only their cooking skills but also their confidence and independence all while having fun and exploring food in new ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the summer, Claire demonstrated what it means to be a compassionate and effective leader. Claire\u2019s energy and dedication made a lasting impact on our participants, families, and staff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are beyond grateful for the time, talent, and heart Claire brought to GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Milwaukee. Interns like her help make our programming so special, and her influence will be felt long after the summer ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claire, thank you for sharing your gifts with us. We can\u2019t wait to see all the amazing things you\u2019ll go on to do and we hope you\u2019ll visit often!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
