On January 25, we had the incredible honor of celebrating Ravaughn Williams, an adult participant at GiGi\u2019s Playhouse Milwaukee and new author, at his book signing party. The event was filled with joy, pride, and a sense of community as Ravaughn shared his memoir, I AM HERE!: Living Life to My Fullest Potential\u2026 Celebrating Down Syndrome<\/em>, with family, friends, peers, and supporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravaughn, along with his mother, Dawn, co-authored this inspiring memoir that chronicles his life journey\u2014embracing his unique potential and living each day to the fullest. The book is a quick, powerful read that delves into his experiences, challenges, and triumphs as he navigates life with Down syndrome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Dawn shared with Fox 6 Milwaukee during the event, \u201cThe book talks about his experiences, his learning experience, and life experiences. The book tells it all.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravaughn, full of excitement and confidence, told Fox 6, \u201cI feel great because God has a plan for me, and I got a plan for him, too. I\u2019m so excited for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were thrilled to have Fox 6 Milwaukee at the event to highlight Ravaughn\u2019s book signing and the impact of his story. Along with Fox 6\u2019s coverage and our 70+ guests, Tim Boundy, the Board President for GiGi\u2019s Playhouse National, and his wife, Kim\u2014who is also a literacy tutor at GiGi\u2019s Playhouse National in Hoffman Estates\u2014attended the event to celebrate Ravaughn and his remarkable achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravaughn\u2019s ultimate goal is to sell 5,000 copies of I AM HERE!<\/em> and achieve his dream of becoming a New York Times bestseller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
