New Family\/Caregivers Group<\/h4>\n

Be a part of our community for the everyday caregiver challenges (including new and expecting parents), receive support, establish connections within GiGi\u2019s Playhouse and the community, as well as learn the philosophy of GiGi\u2019s Playhouse and engage in programming. This group is a place for families to connect with one another and learn about local resources in our community! In this program, we will discuss relevant topics and have guest speakers from the community join in from time to time. Caregivers will have the opportunity to share their experiences, opinions and questions\u2014only if they feel comfortable doing so!<\/span><\/p>

LMNOP<\/h4>\n

Language Music N' Our Peeps (LMNOP) is an interactive and engaging program designed to guide parents and young children through learning basic sign language and other forms of communication while using music and language-based activities. Recommended for ages pre-natal to 36 months.<\/p>

Playhouse Pals<\/h4>\n

Supports\u202fthe development of social skills and language through peer to peer interaction in a casual and fun setting. This program also supports gross motor skills through active games, as well as fine motor skills & self-help skills.\u00a0Recommended for 5-8 year olds.<\/p>

Teen Tastic<\/h4>\n

Focuses on building social skills with friends with and without Down syndrome by participating in team-based activities in a casual and fun setting. Skill development includes understanding compromise, turn-taking and problem-solving abilities.<\/p>

Speech & Language Group Adult<\/h4>\n

Speech & Language Group facilitates newly developed communication skills providing a more natural communication between peers. Participants ages 18+ practice new skills through informal interaction with other members of the group, with the guidance of a program leader.<\/p>

Leaps & Bounds<\/h4>\n

Leaps & Bounds is a play-based program for children\u00a0that focuses on success in preschool and kindergarten.\u00a0Students will participate in fun\u00a0and engaging activities that provide opportunities for following routines, small group\u00a0participation, movement and interaction with their environment. Family members are\u00a0key participants in this program and will encourage their child to reach his or her Best\u00a0of All throughout each session.\u00a0\u00a0Recommended for ages 3-5 year olds.<\/p>
