She believes deeply in\nhigh expectations and in every individual&#8217;s ability to grow when provided the right\nenvironment, consistent encouragement, and strong systems of support. Under her\nleadership, the Playhouse has strengthened its infrastructure, expanded volunteer\nengagement, and deepened its impact throughout the Milwaukee community.\nSara is passionate about building culture; where families feel seen, volunteers feel valued,\nand staff are empowered to lead with clarity and confidence. She is especially committed\nto developing sustainable systems that ensure the Playhouse can serve families for\ngenerations to come.\nOutside of GiGi&#8217;s, Sara enjoys knitting, mentoring with her son&#8217;s robotics team (#4786), and\nadvocating for inclusive opportunities as the parent of a daughter with a significant\ndisability. She brings more than 25 years of teaching experience in both\ngeneral and special education, with a career spanning early childhood through secondary\neducation.\nA self-proclaimed lifelong learner, Becky became a Certified Pastry Chef in 2012,\ncombining her passion for teaching and entrepreneurship by leading cooking classes for\nchildren of all ages and abilities. She also recently earned certification in Disability\nInclusion and Universal Design from the University of Michigan. As a parent to a child with a\ndisability, Becky brings both professional expertise and lived experience to creating\nwelcoming, accessible environments for all\nHer connection to GiGi&#8217;s began in 2017 as a volunteer with the Fantastic Friends program.\nInspired by the community&#8217;s belief in the potential of every individual, Becky continued\nvolunteering over the years, deepening her commitment to the Playhouse&#8217;s mission.\nBeyond her work at GiGi&#8217;s, Becky advocates for inclusion, equity, and access, meeting\nannually with local and state representatives to advance legislation supporting medical\nresearch, accessibility, and civil rights.
