Volunteer Spotlights: Delaney & Susan!

This month’s volunteer spotlight shines on Delaney Marwood and Susan Davies, two interns who came to GiGi’s Playhouse MKE compliments of the Milwaukee Area Health Education Center, Community Health Internship Program (CHIP). Both volunteers have served as Program Assistants for a variety of programs over the summer session including our GiGiFIT Kids & Adults programs, GiGi Kitchen Kids and GiGi Kitchen Adults programs, as well as our GiGi Prep and Teen Tastic programs! Their motivation and can-do work ethic have been a gift for the summer session as we were forced to shift many of the summer programming responsibilities around due to unforeseen circumstances with other volunteers. Their volunteer efforts have not only been recognized by GiGi’s Playhouse MKE leadership but more importantly by the many GiGi’s participants and families whose lives they’ve touched!

We rely on dedicated volunteers of all skill levels to keep our programs vibrant, educational, fun, and, most importantly, free for our families. Since the start of the first Playhouse in 2003, parents, family members, clinicians, and individuals who believe in our mission have played pivotal roles as volunteers in various capacities, including events, administrative offices, and on our Board of Members. If you’re eager to donate your time and talents, we’d love to hear from you! Sign up today at https://gigisplayhouse.org/milwaukee/volunteer/

Junior Volunteers Welcome! We especially welcome junior high and high school students to volunteer at the Playhouse. Their positive impact is immeasurable. Parents and guardians, please encourage your children to correspond with us independently. At GiGi’s Playhouse, we not only promote the ‘Best of All’ for our participants but also for our volunteers. Training is provided to ensure your success as a volunteer.
